I have accidentally fallen down the well of chronic optimisation…. and it's hurting my soul
Supplements, devices, protocols. None of it speaks to how I actually want to optimise my life: through joy, fun and wild abandonment.

I have accidentally fallen down the well of chronic optimisation…. and it's hurting my soul.
It started when I watched the program about the man who was bio hacking the hell (aka all joy) out of his life. Supplements, devices, optimisations, protocols, regiments. Since then, I have been targeted and I use the word targeted not in a positive way, by things that are prying on my fears and insecurities.
The one thing that is missing from all of this bombardment is how I actually wish to optimise my life. Which is through joy and fun and wild abandonment. I want to live to 90 but I don't want to do it for the sake of living, I want to do it with a mischievous cackle, surrounded by friends eating gelato in Italy.
I'm not an idiot, I know that to get to that point, I have to been looking after my body and mind now, but that's my end goal. That world is full of colour and abundance.
I'm not the only one. I look around, I am in my 40s and most people I know are on some form of health program. But when I talk about their aspirations none of it presents as the grey, polished, hyper fixated form of health. It's to unlock their future selves, make sure that they can live gregariously as possible for as long as possible. Dancing to the end of their days.
When I look through this angle and at the brands in this space it is quiet. We are now swimming, more like drowning in the ocean of optimisation protocols that preach the same message. And day after day more and more are joining them. One or two will capture demand and the rest will spend a sh*t ton of money and disappear.
Leaving this big, huge, open space of people who are thinking about optimisation and health span but not in the way that is has been prescribed. This is why it is important to look up and look out. When you are thinking about the codes and conventions of the category, watch, listen and speak to people to see the other side.
If I have missed a brand playing in this space and will have me frolicking in France in my 80s hit me up.
