I need your help
Every now and then I get a bit obsessed with something and want to go deeper. Rather than disappearing down the rabbit hole on my own, I like to bring other people into it too.
My latest obsession is AI. Not really what it can do, but how we're actually using it and, more specifically, what we're telling it.
We tell our friends some things, our partners other things. Sometimes we find ourselves telling complete strangers things we haven't told anyone else. There are even things we struggle to admit to ourselves.
Now there's someone else in the conversation: AI.
What are we telling AI that we're not telling each other, or perhaps even ourselves?
I'm fascinated by what we're privately asking it for help with, what we're sharing with it and why some things might feel easier to type into a box than say out loud. Maybe we're looking for advice or reassurance. Maybe we're trying to work out what we actually think. Maybe putting it into words is the first time we've properly admitted it at all. Maybe it is none of this and something else entirely.
So I'm digging into it. If you use AI, I'd love you to be part of it.
The survey is completely anonymous, takes about two minutes and you can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

This is the start of a bigger conversation about AI, intimacy and the things we quietly say to machines. Your answers will help shape where it goes next.
